Account Manager l - Management Development Program

General Description:

The Management Development Program is an accelerated career track for college graduates in the dynamic field of mortgage banking. The program is geared towards recent graduates who want to begin their career in management, and provides the training to build the knowledge, skills, and abilities for a successful management career in mortgage banking. Candidates begin with a corporate orientation and operations introduction, and will also take 3 four-week courses from the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) School of Mortgage Banking to obtain a basic understanding of the mortgage banking industry. Upon successful completion of the courses, the individual will receive an Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) designation. Upon successful completion of the School of Mortgage Banking and the corporate introduction programs, the individual will begin their career as an Account Manager, responsible for the relationship management of assigned financial institutions, as follows:

Administer and manage the relationship for all assigned sub-servicing accounts. Provide centralized support for all of the needs of each assigned client (typically with a portfolio under 5,000 loans). Ensure delivery of quality service, provide rapid response and develop a strong communication link between Dovenmuehle and the sub-servicing clients.

Reports to: Senior Vice President, Client Services

Responsibilities-Include, but not limited to:
· Maintain weekly contact with assigned accounts to identify, research and resolve any questions, service quality issues, procedure changes, new loan programs, billing issues or any other requests made by the sub-servicing client.
· Coordinate internal research and response among all Dovenmuehle departments, both in writing and by telephone, to various inquiries from assigned accounts and from the Division Manager for other non-assigned accounts.
· Coordinate quarterly relationship reviews with the senior management of Dovenmuehle and the client to maintain close relationships with the primary contacts and decision-makers, monitor client satisfaction, and evaluate methods to improve the overall relationship.
· Identify possible product and service enhancements to the sub-servicing program based upon client feedback. Summarize and present ideas for enhancements to the Division Manager.
· Evaluate use of optional services by each assigned client to ensure optimum service levels as appropriate for each client.
· Monitor billing to each assigned client to evaluate opportunities for revenue enhancement for Dovenmuehle or cost reductions for the client.
· Maintain current status reports for all assigned clients and provide timely written summaries of all significant client contact.

  • Communicates with all levels of the organization through Senior Vice President
  • Communicates with Clients, mortgagors and/or their agents (attorneys, title agents), regulatory agencies.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, finance, accounting, or marketing
  • Strong interest in a management career
  • Leadership skills reflected in academic and non-academic activities
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The employee is regularly required to communicate (give/receive information) through multiple methods of communication. The employee is frequently required to stand or walk (or otherwise move through the organization); sit; use hands to type, write, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; or lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. The noise level is usually moderate and typical of an office environment. The employee may be required to use a variety of standard office equipment, including computer keyboards and monitors, phones, printers, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,415.00 - $65,978.00 per year
